Project to migrate 6 data
servers located throughout the UK from legacy Novell Netware to SuSE 10.1
Linux. These systems provide 24/7 service to several truck rental
operations and required a seamless migration with minimal to zero
downtime. The project also included a high level of redundancy as
customers required additional hardware resource on site to provide an easy
installable/automatic failover without the need to call in specialist
hardware engineers.

Upgrade of existing Microsoft
Access based Patient Case Tracking System. A ten fold increase in database
speed was achieved by restructuring the database architecture and adding
new features. This has increased the efficiency of the company staff,
particularly in answering telephone case queries.

The ICT Practice was able to
provide quicker responses and reduce downtime by providing a total
support solution. Previously, hardware, application software and general
IT support was provided by several companies. The wide range of practice
skills available in the ICT Practice enables a single cohesive support
service.
